The Chic Bohemian offers handcrafted knitwear, accessories and jewelry designed and created by me, Cathleen Stephen. Each piece is unique, a spirited combination of fibers, beads and unconventional elements. It is this eclectic yet sophisticated approach to design and fabric construction that truly make my items chic and Bohemian. My work may be seen at choice arts and crafts shows, and my designs have been published nationally and internationally.

Coogee Tank May 27, 2025
Earlier this month I traveled to Australia to visit my youngest and to attend her graduation from law school. From a very young age, my daughters have watched me design, happily donning sweaters, hats and other things created especially for them. Now, as adults, it has been my great pleasure “using” them as models for my designs. Sonya, my oldest is included on this site wearing the Nimue Capelet, and now Erin, the youngest is shown modeling the Coogee Tank. Australia is a vast and beautiful country and the day we shot this photo on Coogee Beach, the waves were crashing and the wind blowing. The perfect backdrop for the gorgeous garment. One more daughter to go to complete the trifecta!
